When planning a trip, especially an extended one, parking is a key consideration. For travelers flying out of Gatwick Airport, long-term parking is a convenient option that offers security and peace of mind. Here's a breakdown of how much you can expect to pay for long-term parking at Gatwick, along with tips to help you find the best deal.

Long-Term Parking Options at Gatwick

Gatwick Airport provides several parking solutions to meet the needs of different travelers. The main options for long-term parking are:

1. Long Stay Parking

   • Location: Situated near both North and South Terminals.
   • Shuttle Service: A free shuttle runs between the car parks and terminals every 10–15 minutes, taking 5-10 minutes to reach the terminals.
   • Price Range: On average, booking in advance for a week’s long stay parking costs between £60 and £110, depending on the time of year and how early you book.

2. Valet Parking

   • Location: Drop your car off at the terminal, and it will be parked for you in a secure facility.
   • Price Range: Valet parking is more expensive, starting around £120 per week, with higher prices during peak travel periods.

3. Premium Parking

   • Location: Closer to the terminal with faster access.
   • Price Range: This option can cost between £150 and £200 for a week, depending on the terminal and season.

4. Off-Site Parking (Partner Providers)

   • Location: Several independent car parks offer long-term parking near Gatwick Airport, usually with shuttle services to the terminal.
   • Price Range: Off-site parking is generally cheaper, ranging from £40 to £70 per week. It’s essential to check reviews and ensure the provider is reliable.

Factors That Affect Parking Prices

1. Booking in Advance: Prices can vary significantly based on how early you book. Booking a month or two ahead can save you a substantial amount compared to last-minute bookings.

2. Seasonality: Peak travel periods, such as school holidays and Christmas, often come with higher prices. Off-season parking is typically more affordable.

3. Location: The closer the parking facility is to the terminal, the more expensive it tends to be. Off-site options can offer more competitive pricing but may require additional time for shuttles.

4. Length of Stay: Some car parks offer discounts for longer stays. The daily rate decreases the longer you leave your vehicle.

Tips to Save on Long-Term Parking

1. Compare Prices Online: Use comparison sites or Gatwick’s official parking page to review and book long-term parking.

2. Consider Off-Site Parking: Third-party parking providers may offer substantial savings, especially if you don’t mind a short shuttle ride.

3. Use Discounts or Promo Codes: Some travel websites and parking services offer promo codes for Gatwick parking. Keep an eye out for special deals.

4. Look for Early Bird Deals: Gatwick’s long-stay parking often has "early bird" rates for those who book months in advance.
